The Old Royal Palace (Palaia Anaktora) is a neoclassical building in Athens, designed by Bavarian architect Friedrich von Gärtner and constructed between 1836 and 1843. Originally built as a royal palace for King Otto of Greece, it has housed the Hellenic Parliament since 1935 and remains an iconic landmark on Syntagma Square.
