Stadtschloss, also known as the Weimarer Stadtschloss or Weimar City Palace, is the former residence of the Dukes and Grand Dukes of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, located at Burgplatz 4 in the centre of Weimar, Germany. The four-winged neoclassical complex was rebuilt after a major fire starting in 1789 under the direction of Johann August Arens, Nikolaus Friedrich Thouret and Heinrich Gentz, with Goethe involved in overseeing the work, and was later extended by Clemens Wenzeslaus Coudray.
