The Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum is a memorial and museum preserving the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp in Oświęcim, Poland. Founded in 1947, it oversees the authentic remains of Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, including collections, archives, and a conservation, research and publishing centre.
